The stunning Bavarian home of a photographer

You know when homes have a friend's name written all over them? This incredible space found over at Vosges Paris was made for my sister, Cas! She loves vintage pieces (cinema seats, step ladders, tables), art photography and industrial lighting. But the home of German photographer Petra Reger and her family in Kompton, Bavaria is oh so much more too. Petra's home decorating style is part industrial, part vintage, part designer, part rock 'n' roll. Throw in the beautiful bones of the apartment including the original plaster wall in the kitchen and 100 year old parquet flooring and the result is an incredibly striking and unique home fit for a creative. How cool is this space?

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9fR2CSWgMEvxR5G08XfUwLnPVd6x-XFVKpmnDKGEdWktl1k8Y0EVYjI1ZRWEYszpu-9JWybZDaIqpYgODV8UCquSQSF5VX_q5oD2ols3-acUVCgDAw0IqBwcDA844Qn4m7Ct8dhaaR_4l/s1600/petra2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; An eclectic home in sunny California

I love it when you've been looking for a solution and then you spot something in a home and think - why yes, of course! For example, I was drooling over this fab, eclectic family home of Amber Thrane, co-founder of Dulcet Creative on Glitter Glide, when I spotted the patio tiles...OK, her home is in sunny California, and mine's in southern sweden - but I think they could work in my own back yard, don't you? I live by the sea after all! In fact Amber's entire home is brimming with wonderful ideas. I love the mix of mid-century, ethnic, industrial and vintage too, so I'm sure there'll be more ideas I'll be squirreling away on Pinterest, how about you?

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; A Swedish home with a relaxed, boho vibe

We often see homes packed with designer pieces, and although beautiful, they're not always achievable. I therefore love homes designed on a shoestring budget using creativity, patience (to find the right items as they come up) and a sense of fun. The truly personal family home of ceramicist, designer and stylist Frida Anthin Broberg, Sebastien Broberg and their children Jack (6) and Bill (5) situated in Rönne, Sweden is a perfect example of this. Frida and Sebastien believe 'an interior should be fueled by desire rather than aesthetics' and their space pays homage to this. Teeming with vintage finds and bold splashes of colour, this lovely relaxed, boho living space is perfect inspiration for decorating without a big budget, don't you think?

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #333333; A relaxed and eclectic Stockholm space

'A pop of colour here and a vintage vibe there' is the best way to describe this very cool and relaxed apartment in Stockholm captured by Fantastic Frank. I like the casual way the books have been stacked on the kitchen floor, the striking yellow Mhy light, the decadent velvet armchair and the picture gallery wall. They're relatively difficult to find but I love the ones sold by Three Potato Four and also the cool animal portraits by Oldi (I have the Lurcher one which has become a family favourite!). I love books and feel the space looks disturbingly void of reading material, don't you? This Christmas I'll be pouring over my Pinterest storage board for ideas. One possibility is String shelves (I love the latest inspirational images they've released) and think they'll fit perfectly with my mid-century style. What do you think?

Lastly - today is a big day for me, it's the last day at my corporate job after 14 years in the industry! As of 1st Jaunary I'll be focusing full time on this blog - it's grown so much thanks to you all that I feel it's time to give it the attention it so deserves. Scary and exciting in equal measure! Here's to new and exciting adventures! And thank you all for your wonderful, ongoing encouragement and support.

Have a great day!

PS If it was Christmas decorating ideas you were after you can always check out my Christmas archive with a lorry load of decorating tips, DIY ideas and lovely scandinavian festive home tours. The unique and fabulous home of a Swedish stylist

Hello! I hope you're having a great start to the week?! Mine just got a whole lot better after discovering the home of Swedish stylist Marie Olsson Nylander and her family which is currently for sale (I know, hurry!). Situated in Höganäs, a small town in Skåne, Sweden not far from where my parents-in-law live, Marie's home is teeming with unique finds and blends morroccan, industrial, vintage and rustic styles for an entirely unique look. This isn't the first time I've admired Marie's work, her previous home in Arild is one of the most popular homes ever to be featured on my sandinavian home. Monochrome and cognac in a vintage inspired apartment

I hope you had a wonderful weekend? We've had real April showers here in Southern Sweden and as I write from my corner in a cafe by the sea this morning the rain is coming down in sheets outside, it's all very cosy! Indoors is the best place to be today - and I have just came across this little gem on Stadshem. This two room apartment is teeming with vintage finds and mid-century pieces. The oh so cool home of a Swedish photographer

Morning! This is the oh so cool home of talented Swedish wedding photographer Therese Winberg. Shot by Therese and styled by Anna Malmgren for Plaza Interiör, the space appeared on several blogs late last year and I missed it (I know, I think I was to busy enjoying my Christmas glögg!). It's such a fabulous home I thought I'd better share it in case you missed it too?! The space is the perfect blend of old and new and teeming with the latest design trends (hello geometric kitchen floor, scallop fronted dresser, grey marble surfaces..) . There is so much inspiration from this place I'm not sure where to start, but I'll certainly be pinning every picture!
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;
