The fabulous Flinders Lane Apartment

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">The plywood trend has been popular for a while now, and I can see why. <a href="http://clarecousins.com.au/projects/flinders-lane-apartment/" target="_blank">Flinders Lane Apartment</a> in Melbourne has been artfully designed by <a href="http://clarecousins.com.au/projects/flinders-lane-apartment/" target="_blank">Claire Cousins</a>, Dita Beluli and Jessie Fowler to create a family space on a small budget. The owners were looking to create two bedrooms out of one o make space for a baby. Plywood joinery has been used to define the two spaces instead of building actual walls. The plywood also cleverly doubles up as storage space. I love the way the apartment has been finished including the pretty touches of salmon.  What a massively cool family home!<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj01_XLMV-U8fzscoQL2W-Y86Sf1u_N_OXdrvJ86jOiF8ZrcAzelyAzE7fZFBA4LZSgfOQQUcPoSIiS6wGAjER_rHF-MQlRQISCNKoAIk6OByA5ylhrKSbveKNwzQ0x4V_EYGj7itkejLI/s1600/Flinders6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="427" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj01_XLMV-U8fzscoQL2W-Y86Sf1u_N_OXdrvJ86jOiF8ZrcAzelyAzE7fZFBA4LZSgfOQQUcPoSIiS6wGAjER_rHF-MQlRQISCNKoAIk6OByA5ylhrKSbveKNwzQ0x4V_EYGj7itkejLI/s1600/Flinders6.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8dhrkUXF9Qzmf0zU5Dtf3FgXCDswqcnMpmql1GUwFZ0LKrlAfVfYJ-QKS5L2BdxJA0fnjl88ctG2qIQMO-XyZXvN1g60imfS3gorFJy0tXe7v7IRUXyiNKmIaRA8xTKKtAnn0G6P_gVs/s1600/Flinders4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8dhrkUXF9Qzmf0zU5Dtf3FgXCDswqcnMpmql1GUwFZ0LKrlAfVfYJ-QKS5L2BdxJA0fnjl88ctG2qIQMO-XyZXvN1g60imfS3gorFJy0tXe7v7IRUXyiNKmIaRA8xTKKtAnn0G6P_gVs/s1600/Flinders4.jpg" width="460" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicqAdEEQbSYNyZU456Lw81J4xFZVaGKzcP14k4B_t6rrmO4MEH-eH9umJoUxnI_B32yr5ONG6kMtwLjJS_q9BksQYEhU_JYTpxpVXdEtAsrcGXgyGhd3OPNBRBGW3WokXxW3NiE5w-ZU4/s1600/flinders2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicqAdEEQbSYNyZU456Lw81J4xFZVaGKzcP14k4B_t6rrmO4MEH-eH9umJoUxnI_B32yr5ONG6kMtwLjJS_q9BksQYEhU_JYTpxpVXdEtAsrcGXgyGhd3OPNBRBGW3WokXxW3NiE5w-ZU4/s1600/flinders2.jpg" width="420" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlOjswZGB7ZKcmcPICpYeyN7kp4f5Eg0yl6DJ5rJzNStkRmnoySNB67Yxv2VQOUI9nsgCzDMVMBHkqZuMbdUgzpTJrEIJH7dOr6OREXYO4vgBys6Erdz6KESkk3vjNbvbQiHo8xuvT5bg/s1600/Flinders1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlOjswZGB7ZKcmcPICpYeyN7kp4f5Eg0yl6DJ5rJzNStkRmnoySNB67Yxv2VQOUI9nsgCzDMVMBHkqZuMbdUgzpTJrEIJH7dOr6OREXYO4vgBys6Erdz6KESkk3vjNbvbQiHo8xuvT5bg/s1600/Flinders1.jpg" width="422" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGnih4h0QHY9m34B-P19PeSQ8yKQ2M1Uj1tbZ9oWqHkOd7F24LebiovWPAhbNFRBEu1jZ6fwd5un4RfNTnjZtmbRxJ-uoDojWweJbS_V4mYiOvnUe93Hwceu_WKArC6PMH3pN02QbIz60/s1600/Flinders3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGnih4h0QHY9m34B-P19PeSQ8yKQ2M1Uj1tbZ9oWqHkOd7F24LebiovWPAhbNFRBEu1jZ6fwd5un4RfNTnjZtmbRxJ-uoDojWweJbS_V4mYiOvnUe93Hwceu_WKArC6PMH3pN02QbIz60/s1600/Flinders3.jpg" width="404" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlAFOPTUrGKTmj3UPfgtNsVsIT8n3WlfkVb0usUG0qFAaNrSAuB5lnHIblJc6KIwjKyOGoBFAC6bhjmgRAuIrfAF7gInrn7oOz6W9jIAB-ymoMOYIhFG_lSbvcbbzIi_z7Crn6bLMot9A/s1600/Flinders10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlAFOPTUrGKTmj3UPfgtNsVsIT8n3WlfkVb0usUG0qFAaNrSAuB5lnHIblJc6KIwjKyOGoBFAC6bhjmgRAuIrfAF7gInrn7oOz6W9jIAB-ymoMOYIhFG_lSbvcbbzIi_z7Crn6bLMot9A/s1600/Flinders10.jpg" width="404" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Designers: <a href="http://clarecousins.com.au/projects/flinders-lane-apartment/" target="_blank">Claire Cousins</a>, Dita Beluli & Jessie Fowler. House for Mother

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Good morning! I hope you had a lovely weekend (and enjoyed my rare <a href="http://www.329db.blogspot.se/2014/04/a-light-and-relaxed-amsterdam-home-and.html" target="_blank">Sunday home tour</a>). It's so gloomy here in Southern Sweden today but it's OK because I've a beautiful project to share! 'House For Mother' (great name?), is the brainchild of <a href="http://www.f-a-f.se/" target="_blank">Förstberg Arkitektur</a> as their contribution to the <a href="http://wp.linkopingsbo2016.se/" target="_blank">Linköpingsbo 2017</a> housing exhibition. While the outside will be constructed of raw corrugated aluminium, the inside will be designed using exposed timber and walls lined with plywood to add warmth. This is definitely going to be categorised under my '<a href="http://www.329db.blogspot.se/search/label/fabulous%20architecture" target="_blank">fabulous architecture</a>' label! What do you reckon?<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuZVESu0LcphT_zWdvS5krUDNtG5P-dnQY7A1UpaSRQljFHL2nGc55xbWPNz3PVj1FEOHex0hYxV-PcchUPNt4wLf2aYOA6usjhgQkJyhudfWyFQC5zP9Ipju2wRBTaRAVyr6SVFdNaic/s1600/hm1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuZVESu0LcphT_zWdvS5krUDNtG5P-dnQY7A1UpaSRQljFHL2nGc55xbWPNz3PVj1FEOHex0hYxV-PcchUPNt4wLf2aYOA6usjhgQkJyhudfWyFQC5zP9Ipju2wRBTaRAVyr6SVFdNaic/s1600/hm1.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdmPIJOl4zoyyJtLC5-zgGgynRgyQFscQSHKghs_a9Fsc_FQcQRMTJQShmntH7SGffExk9RLTY81knHRcEXBJo8j4auMqIQLuFvJyu9LH_HEz0-gT4U0jTp3_Q3ZnlEnjsc89KvqKJ3AU/s1600/hm2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdmPIJOl4zoyyJtLC5-zgGgynRgyQFscQSHKghs_a9Fsc_FQcQRMTJQShmntH7SGffExk9RLTY81knHRcEXBJo8j4auMqIQLuFvJyu9LH_HEz0-gT4U0jTp3_Q3ZnlEnjsc89KvqKJ3AU/s1600/hm2.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4xcIHqit-nQ7NT2UDvpH3db10nw8e9E6cOZ7M1mQEP41r8rSdWvUN8okvB0v1qS9oIw-zPgA2MV47toSeFCR0krxinQHi-aHGV4Surq0Xg7X043WTyIK08H1aXtrRgzwgUZbpQVMDkOI/s1600/hm3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4xcIHqit-nQ7NT2UDvpH3db10nw8e9E6cOZ7M1mQEP41r8rSdWvUN8okvB0v1qS9oIw-zPgA2MV47toSeFCR0krxinQHi-aHGV4Surq0Xg7X043WTyIK08H1aXtrRgzwgUZbpQVMDkOI/s1600/hm3.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMoc3uZR5o03nfQSHABjgPJzCQkOaF4iqEWc16kmrxfEQtvWZ40DLQETR_sudL-ty_WApoXEj5be_56mw6B3Jiy9wM9OlxRbHI7rrGTvbX11ITTU3SJ-E355dE2bDdrgvBrKMw-FmjuY0/s1600/hm4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMoc3uZR5o03nfQSHABjgPJzCQkOaF4iqEWc16kmrxfEQtvWZ40DLQETR_sudL-ty_WApoXEj5be_56mw6B3Jiy9wM9OlxRbHI7rrGTvbX11ITTU3SJ-E355dE2bDdrgvBrKMw-FmjuY0/s1600/hm4.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Vak6B6Cu_vCzykZubWvLGYV_iOD92dolWE5mPK8A7dtMbwPycFPFgf2uxYWD5ySyqL5GOL2gNqoBeyiwgsEPIT2S36Ei9QdlE7DSxMHmwNx_RKnxfsxaIgRbss6hVK9G0xvlNLakZYc/s1600/hm7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Vak6B6Cu_vCzykZubWvLGYV_iOD92dolWE5mPK8A7dtMbwPycFPFgf2uxYWD5ySyqL5GOL2gNqoBeyiwgsEPIT2S36Ei9QdlE7DSxMHmwNx_RKnxfsxaIgRbss6hVK9G0xvlNLakZYc/s1600/hm7.jpg" /></a></div><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Z_KaHzI-a9IDiWJqhiiczBaWgCaFFWlB2Psm6PCewbXGLw9GYJrILVtxTihfRN-Nku2AwMkbdKrzWz6FLrEffD0pb1WlhpWZp53VaNXL0v8j9UBW1ls73UAZ3xYVETLntv6YiX2Lskc/s1600/hm6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Z_KaHzI-a9IDiWJqhiiczBaWgCaFFWlB2Psm6PCewbXGLw9GYJrILVtxTihfRN-Nku2AwMkbdKrzWz6FLrEffD0pb1WlhpWZp53VaNXL0v8j9UBW1ls73UAZ3xYVETLntv6YiX2Lskc/s1600/hm6.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.f-a-f.se/" target="_blank">Förstberg Arkitektur</a> via <a href="http://lamaisondannag.blogspot.se/2014/04/house-for-mother.html" target="_blank">La Maison D'Anna G</a></td></tr></tbody></table><br />I'm a big fan of plywood (more inspiration from <a href="http://www.329db.blogspot.se/2014/01/a-smart-and-wonderful-small-living-space.html" target="_blank">this</a>,<a href="http://www.329db.blogspot.se/2012/06/bang-on-trend-malmo-home.html" target="_blank"> this</a> and<a href="http://www.329db.blogspot.se/2013/07/stunning-apartment-in-monochrome-and.html" target="_blank"> this </a>home) although I  haven't channeled this in my own home. A smart and wonderful small living space

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Hello Thursday! Earlier this week I got a request to show inspiration for a small living space. I was <strike>having fun</strike> working on <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/nikiatmsh/" target="_blank">Pinterest </a>this morning and found this perfect little living space in Antwerp owned by Caroline. With the help of architect <a href="http://www.komaanarchitecten.be/" target="_blank">Katrien Van Doren</a>, Caroline has turned what could have been a fairly cramped space into a beautiful, spacious home full of smart solutions.<br /><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"></span><br /><div></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjugmR1ZyJIhjL7Wogjge5d8ovALxzlvOe39ItjagomqwFbUv4hMPrxbfRSKouvDjb4tdMEpSuWkdMhStaZ0vVJlAC0djZyhwBNc2U1Zpk3Fq5syg3sTm-uia0O9YxLejXVf3UwRfBn_Rc/s1600/small4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjugmR1ZyJIhjL7Wogjge5d8ovALxzlvOe39ItjagomqwFbUv4hMPrxbfRSKouvDjb4tdMEpSuWkdMhStaZ0vVJlAC0djZyhwBNc2U1Zpk3Fq5syg3sTm-uia0O9YxLejXVf3UwRfBn_Rc/s1600/small4.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXNqdyO7ltUuiiDShauIUMIjfnItBlapP9P-i6aI7pUyilfFr-wW4Ui8UbczD0rFcslII2NLtI6MwtBDnWG40Q4-d7454JWZoT55VF10PWQbIs3luV7Gg9a4fNLkUiaOpRNO_yPlNptfw/s1600/small1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXNqdyO7ltUuiiDShauIUMIjfnItBlapP9P-i6aI7pUyilfFr-wW4Ui8UbczD0rFcslII2NLtI6MwtBDnWG40Q4-d7454JWZoT55VF10PWQbIs3luV7Gg9a4fNLkUiaOpRNO_yPlNptfw/s1600/small1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-v0d6ekd6sl6g4WefE06MrquEqbPUPYPvK1q7HJ6Xygyp6fl1sA_YWt6hECeNyPaOZtThCQUcxaNiSsy7zHNEWy0sV7y-RBrPOPdsnwP3Kmmv2PJEk90WBZw1ZfwwLedbzBPSYrFVMBI/s1600/small2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-v0d6ekd6sl6g4WefE06MrquEqbPUPYPvK1q7HJ6Xygyp6fl1sA_YWt6hECeNyPaOZtThCQUcxaNiSsy7zHNEWy0sV7y-RBrPOPdsnwP3Kmmv2PJEk90WBZw1ZfwwLedbzBPSYrFVMBI/s1600/small2.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAnsLVmt9TsFqnkcbkzB2eosjZwriKL_6B92MmH1wmkhRbIIf1NEq3LuJGuLWEdA7QrFFMFkiL_yGuyLV7etg5DYNYdx5H98MHSTovQPcAJcCXXKIxFmebFgbAnZR9KNjmL-sLZwjtsys/s1600/small5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAnsLVmt9TsFqnkcbkzB2eosjZwriKL_6B92MmH1wmkhRbIIf1NEq3LuJGuLWEdA7QrFFMFkiL_yGuyLV7etg5DYNYdx5H98MHSTovQPcAJcCXXKIxFmebFgbAnZR9KNjmL-sLZwjtsys/s1600/small5.jpg" /></a></div><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8s-KzitFvYt9e6Uj2le6j_b5DIpymimdh0cqlVaIa2s3UTsFlceH-XdVUWzfPY6-qgR6vP_uOk-3Ke9G3acbzz-QmkOO7pUALeYpuKnh0yVc2Cs-l72EFWO24nPwOe5HQHEmXCasmdok/s1600/small3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8s-KzitFvYt9e6Uj2le6j_b5DIpymimdh0cqlVaIa2s3UTsFlceH-XdVUWzfPY6-qgR6vP_uOk-3Ke9G3acbzz-QmkOO7pUALeYpuKnh0yVc2Cs-l72EFWO24nPwOe5HQHEmXCasmdok/s1600/small3.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Photographer Lisa Van Damme and Ian Hermans, Architect <a href="http://the%20photographers%20lisa%20van%20damme%20and%20ian%20hermans%20%20-%20the%20architect%20katrien%20van%20doren%20%28www.komaanarchitecten.be%29/" target="_blank">Katrien Van Doren</a> via <a href="http://roomed.nl/belgiums-finest-mini-appartement-met-loftallure/" target="_blank">Roomed</a> /<a href="http://studiobirdy.com/index.html" target="_blank"> Studio Birdy </a></td></tr></tbody></table><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></span>I could live here, could you?
